Background

Julie Baker a Manhattan-based jewelry designer. In 2006, we received a phone call from Baker who wanted to display her jewelry collection online. The site needed to have two sections. One section for the public to see specific pieces from her collection. The second section was for her retail distributors (Sacks Fifth Ave. and Barney’s of New York) to view, see the retail price and to place their orders for their locations. The retail section of the website needed to be password protected so the public could not see the entire line.

During a visit to Los Angeles, Baker contacted Keith and requested an appointment to discus her needs. She had seen other professional sites that Keith created and wanted him to put her company on the Internet for the world to see. Julie, a sharp business woman, was very prepared for the meeting and the two felt an instant connection. Keith presented his vision for the website which was exactly what Julie had in mind. From the first meeting, they both knew that they were a perfect fit for each other and the business relationship began.

Problem/Pain

The only problem in the entire process was training. Julie at the time was new to using the Internet so there was a lot of additional training that needed to be provided.

Solution

Keith provided training not only on how to use the Content Management System (CMS) of her website, but also spent time on how to use her computer and check emails. Julie was very appreciative of the time spent and is now up to speed in her computer skills. Bravo Julie!!!
