About Nicolas
Nicolas had a lofty goal.
"In my first month, I was determine to read every piece of documenation and literature Gunner had to offer," he says.
Lofty because Gunner documents just about everything and has published several e-books and hundreds of blog posts.
That didn't bother Nicolas, though.
"I figured, if I'm going to do my job right, I need to at least understand everyone else's job - what they're doing, how they do it," he says. "Obviously, I can't do it as well as them, but it's good to know."
His reading led him to earn his first AWS certification quicker than anyone, and he doesn't plan on stopping there.
"I want all of them," he says. "I mean, Gunner pays for the material and the tests, so why not?!"
He's definitely worth it.
Nicolas' efforts in DevOps have helped Gunner tremendously.
Very early in his tenure, he helped transition Qualis, one of Gunner's biggest and oldest clients, from a traditional operations to a DevOps operation which has had untold benefits from an infrastructure and development perspective.
