Gunner Technology helps entrepreneurs, small-to-mid-sized companies and the public sector devise, build, implement and manage innovative software solutions.
As AWS Partners and active open source contributors, Gunner is able to build and host full-stack mobile, web and IoT apps with enterprise-level quality, startup speed and offshore prices.
"If my life depended on it, I couldn't tell you how they pull it off," Pumpreys founder and CEO, Colin Meyer, said. "I had an idea and nothing else. After getting burned a few times, I found Gunner and they did for me in weeks what other companies took months to do and at a lower cost."
Founded in 2010, Gunner is headquartered in Las Vegas, NV with employees spread out throughout the country, including offices in South Florida, California, Colorado and Utah.
Gunner is a small, cross-functional team of designers, developers, engineers and projects managers.
"Everyone on the team can fill one of those roles," Gunner, founder and CEO, Cody Swann said. "My favorite thing to do is write code."
While other software companies focus on banging out projects as quickly as possible for as many clients as possible, Gunner has taken a different approach.
"We don't have a sales team, and we're very selective of the clients we take on," Swann said. "Quality is way more important than quantity, and we believe even the smallest project should grow into a long-term relationship. That's why we still have clients from the year we were founded. We continuously provide value."
The Gunner team prides itself on being "day-walkers" - technical people who understand business and can communicate with clients.
"There's not a lot of places where you have MBAs writing code," Neerint Director of Marketing, Dora Adams, said. "They are able to put highly technical 'stuff' in terms even I can understand. That's invaluable to me."
Gunner knows the industry - for better and worse, and has worked with many clients who have been taken advantage of by other companies.
"Trust is everything because, for most of our clients, we might as well just be waving a magic wand," Swann said. "They don't know or want to know the details of how we do what we do and a lot of companies take advantage of that by delivering solutions that don't work or will break in 10 weeks. Meanwhile, they take the money and you'll never see them again. There are a lot of shady developers and companies out there."
To combat that negativity and build trust, Gunner offers their services to new clients, free for 30 days.
"A friend of mine told me I had to check these guys out," West Coast Lumber VP, Scott Rhodes, said. "I didn't think we needed any help, but, I mean, it was free, so why not? Sure enough, they found some major inefficiencies in our billing process, which they automated for us. And they finished the first round in that 30 days. We've been a client ever since."
